Moan
Here we go into another transfer window worrying if our star players will be sold and the fans left having to pay the price to watch an inferior team.

So far our targets are well below what we require (Sandaza) as a player he would have struggled to get into our reserve team not that long ago and we are also looking at others who have left the club (Boyd) who has not been a success since he went?

We all understand that we are not working in the same market place as before due to the money restraints, but surely some one could say if we have any money to spend or do we have to sell first? No wonder fans are left frustrated with all the talk of this one leaving or coming and nothing happens??

Rangers For Me
Since my first game in the Centenary friendly against Arsenal back in 1973 I knew there was only ever going to be one team for me.

Through thick and thin I have always supported Ranger's and will do so until my dying day, from the good old days of seeing my 1st winning treble team of 1976 and then to repeat it 2 years later I thought this is it I will always be seeing silver ware every year, then the lull hit and the 80's were not the best of time except fo a couple of good runs in Europe, before we got back to our winning ways in the 90's and 2000's.

We are still going strong even though we have no money and here's to 4 in a row under Super Ally.

Standing Area
Recently it has been muted that we might be getting the standing area back in grounds?

Oh how I remember the old days as boy of 12 standing in the Copland Road at the metal barrier and as a goal is scored being crushed against the barrier and with all these older gentlemen who had a little refreshment before and during the game leaning over asking if you ok son as he pished down your leg or cans pish being thrown overhead, oh the happy days of the standing area

Hard times ahead - December 2011 - Blog 11

Hard times ahead .......Written by Ian from One Direction..
So with the long takeover saga finally finished with Craig Whyte assuming control of the club we thought that our club would finally start to move forward, but with the tax case verdict looming and investigations by the SFA into our knew owner what do we really know about him?

Craig Whyte was born in Motherwell on the 23rd of May 1971. At the age of 15 Whyte had made £20,000 from buying and selling shares, he then moved on to a plant hire company with his dad before setting up his own plant hire company. He has since gone on to security, manufacturing and property before becoming a venture capitalist. Whyte's plant hire company ( Whyte Hire) went bankrupt with debts of more than £300,000 but despite this set back he went on to become Scotland's youngest self made millionaire at just 26. After selling most of his businesses he moved to Monaco, before moving back to the UK. He set up Liberty Capital in London which specialises in taking over businesses that are in trouble, turning them around and selling them on. After BBC investigations into his past it emerged that Whyte had been handed a 7 year ban preventing him from being a director of any company's and they claim that this ban had been broken. Whyte has since admitted the ban but claimed he was only a minor shareholder in Re-tex and not a director.

The BBC also claim that Craig Whyte has been involved with convicted fraudster Kevin Sykes and could be involved in a number of criminal acts, a claim that prompted Whyte to start legal proceedings against the BBC and withdraw all cooperation with them after calling their investigations a "prejudice muckraking exercise". Whyte has been involved with a high number of businesses over the years but it was also reported that a significant number of these businesses were poorly run and eventually liquidated. With the problems facing our club these reports don't exactly fill you with confidence.

The club recently released their accounts but they weren't signed off by appointed accountants and if they aren't approved by the 31 of March then Rangers would be banned from European competition by Uefa because of failure to meet the financial fair play regulations. This could cost the club up to £18 million if we qualify for the group stages of the Champions League (assuming that we win the SPL). This on top of the possible £49 million we could face is we lose the tax case could mean that the club enters administration and could also face liquidation.

With the strong opposition from the old board and Craig Whyte's track record I can't help but worry about our clubs future and wonder if we have the right man at the helm to guide use through all these problems. Its clear that the next 6 months are going to be vital for the club but with the team winning the last 3 league titles, the first old firm game of the season and lying 1st in the SPL there is some cause for optimism and I know I speak for all of us when I say that another title party would definitely go down well so lets get behind Ally and the boys and take every game as it comes WATP

PROGRESS REPORT-NOVEMBER 2011 .......Written by Scott Sleith.

So what does everyone think of the season so far ?.. Personally I would say not bad but could still do better. That's of course the team I'm talking about and not the so called guardians of our GREAT club.

Lets start with on the field.. The new manager Super Ally, aka Coisty, aka Golden bollocks is now simply know by the players as Gaffer. My own humble opinion is that he has so far done a superb job since taking over from Walter. Yes we've been knocked out of Europe and that cannot be excused but lets be totally honest.. we were extremely unlucky not to beat any of those two teams that put us out. We should have thrashed them by several goals home and away. Look how many chances we created and if it wasn't for very poor finishing from class players like JELAVIC and our defence switching off for a few minutes near the end of a game we would still be flying the flag in Europe. I'm not making excuses just stating that under McCoist out team created loads of very good chances and it definitely isn't his fault the players made stupid mistakes.

In the league we have done really well away from home with a few slip ups at IBROX.. This is where we have to do better.. Its no use beating Celtic.. sorry humping Celtic yet not being able to beat St Mirren at home. Maybe its because at home we have to break down teams and we don't quite have that sorted out yet.. I think we have the players we just have to find a slightly better system at home. Away form has been excellent.

We've been knocked out the first cup of season, which wasn't too much of a disappointment because most of us were still lapping up beating.. sorry again... humping Celtic. However this is a good cup to win, it either sets you up for treble or at worst stops them from doing treble. I've not mentioned the points difference yet as I really don't want to get too carried away, especially with the recent injury to Naismith. I think we need to beat them at the piggery to increase the gap then I'll feel a bit more confident.

The signings Super Ally has made seem decent enough, especially the 3 new defenders he has brought in. The central defence seem solid and in a lot of ways its better than last year. With Big No Surrender Davie Weir and others also in squad we seen pretty solid in that position. I liked the signing of Wallace but was hoping we didn't lose big Sasa as he is consistently good. Recent games have seen both them play on left and to be honest it looks not too bad. The Goalie is top class, hopefully he'll stop making stupid mistakes though. The right back position is ok but could be better. Midfield seems fine but we've yet to see it without Naismith. I'm looking forward to seeing Matt McKay playing. If I were the Gaffer I would be tempted to just replace Naismiths position with another player and try and play the same way. If the likes of Fleck had anything at all about them they would jump at this opportunity to prove themselves. I see big McCulloch is back in team and I agree there is a place for him sometimes but surely we don't need someone sitting in to protect our defence all the times. We're better going forward and hopefully thats the way we'll win the league. Up front our two strikers are superb and hopefully the will stay for another couple of years, especially if we get automatic entrance to Champions League football next season.

IVE NOT MENTIONED THE TAX CASE YET BECAUSE BASICALLY IM BRICKING MYSELF. I WILL WRITE IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS ABOUT THAT.

Cheers for now and remember...WE ARE THE PEOPLE...

PS - SUPER ALLY GOLDEN BOLLOCKS... HAS HE EVER FAILED AT ANYTHING ? ... HES BORN A WINNER & LEGEND... 4 IN A ROW.

PPS - WAS IT kriss commons who said they were fitter and better than us... ha ha ha ha ... take a good look in mirror.

My Blog .......Written by Barry McCallum.

Part 1- A small taste of success.

My first match. Crisps, cokes, smelly old men, cheering, screaming, clouds of smoke and beer cans with half naked women. And that was just the pub before the game. Although my memory is a little bit hazy going back to my childhood over 20 years ago I am pretty sure that my old man brought me along to the game Rangers had to win to clinch another league title during the Graeme Souness era. We were playing St Mirren and I still remember Chris Woods and Terry Butcher celebrating after the final whistle as though they had achieved the greatest possible victory known to man. Maybe they had, what did I know? I was at primary school. When I returned home with my empty Glasgow Rangers crisp packet as a souvenir I made a vow- that one day I would return to cheer on the Scottish Champions once again only next time I would have my own naughty beer cans! It was to be a few years until I would return as a regular.

Part 2- A glorious return

The next time I returned to Ibrox I was a 15 year old milk boy with a couple of quid in my pocket to burn. What was left of one of my first wages after some MD 20/20 and Old English was to be spent on the new Nike Rangers football top. What made me determined to get my hands on the jersey was that the Rangers shop was giving away 2 tickets for a pre season bounce match Rangers v Rangers. On parade would be a selection of global football talents that we purchased that summer. I was mesmerised from how the stadium had changed so much over the years and was blown away by the atmosphere and quality of talent on display at what was surely a full house. On this day an army of loyal bluenoses were introduced to a raw talent who would conquer the footballing world (Rino Gattuso) and revelled in soaking up the scintilating skills of one of my heroes and all time Rangers legend Mr Paul Gascoigne. The match was a success and made me more determined than ever that I HAD to get a season ticket.

Part 3- A decade of success

I got my first season ticket when I was 16 years old and have kept it ever since. I gingerly took my seat in the East Enclosure and soaked up a vision of true beauty. A sea of red, white and blue in what still remains my favourite Section of Ibrox. The fact that you can turn 360 degrees and see EVERY section of the ground in it's glory makes it something special. And the rain drops on your face make it even better! The best memory of sitting in the East Enclosure? The Amato cupid slide after scoring against the beggars, a true moment of sublime skill circa November 1999 in a 4-2 win for the Teddy Bears. I swear he aimed that arrow right at me. Not in a Celtic Boys Club type of way of course but in. a "get it up them that was pure class" type of way. For me this was to kick off a generation of success at Rangers and I am so proud to have been part of it.

Part 4- Onwards and upwards

So how does the view from the Copeland Rear look these days? I'd say pretty good. We're skint, we're now a "selling club" but we are still THE people. Walter Smith has given our glorious team something that we haven't had in a long long time- self belief and a spirit that any club would be proud of. So no matter how bad it gets I will always be a proud bluenose and follower of Glasgow Rangers.

Favourite all time player: Paul Gascoigne.

Best atmosphere: Rangers 2 Parma 0 (Vidmar & Reyna).

Most memorable goal celebration: Gio Van Bronkhorst v Stum Graz air guitar.

Best goal: Bert Konterman v jungle jims at Hampden in the cup.

Thanks for reading folks!

Blog 8 - HolytownLoyal RSC - October - SCOTT SLEITH

You will hopefully like the recent changes to our site. There is a lot work, time and money required in keeping the site updated, fresh and looking good. The homepage video has been changed. Check it out along with a new ...did you know section ... at bottom of page. The Gazza page will be coming soon. As always I'm looking for members to be MORE involved so it would be good if you could send any interesting facts than we could add. Also we really need a few more blogs and pictures sent in. Remember the blog can be about anything at all.

Our club has recently seen some change with regards to members etc. We lost quite a few members, some who had been with us for a good number of years and while it was sad to see them leave the club we genuinely hope to see them back on bus for whatever games they can. It was a wee bit of a worry with the about of members we lost, so much so we seriously thought we would have to reduce bus to a mini-bus. However, as years gone by, it's absolutely great to see a fresh bunch of new members, especially the younger guys and this ensures we are still a decent size club.

These changes in members made me think that it's important to make sure that there is always a HOLYTOWN LOYAL RANGERS SUPPORTERS CLUB, no matter who the current members are. I will be speaking with the other committee members and hopefully we can draw up a constitution for our club and put it to all the members for approvment. This will hopefully make sure that the club will always remain. As always the input of ALL members would be greatly appreciated.

We have a great wee club and hopefully this will continue for years to come. The committee is there to run the club but ultimately it is all the members club so if anyone has any issues, concerns or ideas for improvement please let us know...It's good to talk guys.

Also any photos, especially older ones would be greatly welcome. Blog 6 - WALTERS SMITH is SIMPLY THE BEST - April - SCOTT SLEITH

Walter Smith OBE has just won manager of the year; personally I think he should be awarded MAN OF THE DECADE. This man is MR RANGERS and deserves all the praise that's going.

He has just seen off yet another manager of the great unclean and personally i think he still has plenty to offer. While writing this we haven't yet won the league but are just one game away. ( let's hope we don't f@@@ up or I'll need to leave the country)

Whether you agree or disagree about just how good he is i would be amazed if anyone could disagree that he is the only man who could have steered us through the current era of turmoil our great club is in. If it wasn't for this man I hate to think where we would be just now...THIS MAN MAY JUST HAVE SAVED RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUB. Winning the league for the second year is in a row is essential for us and in doing so will also turn the finances of the great unclean upside down. I'm not saying he hasn't made mistakes, far from it, but what I am saying is that I wouldn't want anyone else in charge of RANGERS at the present moment. Let's just hope that we can get new owners in soon, secure our management team, secure our best players and build on our recent success.

The man is RANGERS through and through and is the glue holding our club together just now. He is the link between the fans and the unknown faces that are currently running the club. It is also brilliant to hear someone speaking out from our club with regards to the split and fixtures. It's about time someone spoke of facts and not the false, pathetic propaganda that we constantly hear from Peter Liewell of Selick..Maybe, just maybe we will eventually get our backbone back as a club and start flexing our muscles again, after all

Blog 5 - A Rant - February 2010 - Scott Sleith.

It's January, a new year, a new beginning blah blah. I'm usually quite an upbeat kind of guy so maybe it's just the January blues that makes me want to have a good rant about a few things. So let's get started.

I'm going to start my rant by moaning about our own fans. I do agree our fans are the most LOYAL fans in the world but boy do we like complaining (and yes I know that's what I'm doing now ).

I am sick and tired of listening to the real radio phone-in and hearing the RANGERS SUPPORTERS TRUST spouting a load of shit. The spokesman for the RST has constantly over the past few years been demanding Sir David Murray sells he club and how he single handed ruined our great club...bullshit . This guy, it seems to me ,has a personal agenda against SDM , probably because SDM won't give him a seat on the board.

Yes SDM has made mistakes over the years.. Who hasn't.?

Yes SDM has looked after his own businesses and interlocked them with Rangers...who wouldn't.?

If you look at his 20 year reign it is pretty clear that the first 10 years were a lot more successful and fun than the second 10 years. In fact looking back the first decade was absolutely brilliant, and we all love looking back at our success and the great players we watched. As I have said previously on this site we all bought into a dream ... a dream of European success and a field of great players.SDM gave us what we all wanted at the time and I for one cannot remember the RST demanding he go then.

The other thing this group fail to realise is that SDM HAS been trying to sell the club over the past 3 years...NO ONE IS STEPPING UP TO THE MARK. Another thing that annoys me about the RST is that they decided to launch their WE DESERVE BETTER CAMPAIGN last season when we were fighting it out with Timmy for the league. Yes we deserve better but was this the right time for our club to be split? NO.

They now seem to be launching a campaign against the LLOYDS banking group for not walking away from the millions we owe them. Seriously RST do you think that by making a few daft banners and speeches on Real Radio a bank will walk away from what they are owed. It pisses me of the media coverage that this banner protest has been given because it is non-existent and I could tell them for a fact that it is a very small minority (probably about 0.1 %) and the coverage it is getting is laughable. The RST have stated that maybe the Rangers support would boycott the Lloyd banks...firstly not everyone banks with that group and I know for a fact that if I changed banks it wouldn't be a loss to them. Secondly with this high profile protest wouldn't it just mean Celtic fans would just leave them if LLOYDS did do us a favour?

Now if you check out the RST website you will find that they have done a lot of good in the past so I don't want to knock them too much. I just don't think they represent the vast majority of fans and that before they start any stupid protest they should get the true feels of the majority of fans.

Remember RST....TOGETHER WE STAND

Blog 4.. Thats Why We@re Champions - John Hunter.

Sundays 1.1 draw at Legoland proves why we're CHAMPIONS.

The mankie mob fielded what could be described as their strongest team, the Bears turned up minus Miller, Bougherra, Thomson, Mendes, Beasley, Naismith and lost Novo early doors.

Walter set out his side as he would have done in the nineties, knowing a draw would suffice with his much depleted sqaud and send their management team and fans home feeling defeated.

Again there are cries of conspiracy and agenda against them from the east end, but in reality they are not good enough. Sunday proved that they have a powder puff strikeforce, a crap defence ( 16 goals inferior) and the new Stillian Petrov in Barry Robson who goes to ground in a very uncanny fashion.

It also shows that Rangers are playing with the character required in a blue jersey and to come back after going a goal behind with 11 minutes remaining proves this . This character was not evident in the early part of the season but now seems to have been installed into the team since Walter and his staff announced they would be working with no contract.

Here's hoping the Lloyds group dont see the need to offload any of our current sqaud. Injuries and suspensions are now taking their toll which showed on Sunday with names like Wylde, Ness, Fleck and Little on the subs bench. No direspect to these youngsters but we need our strongest squad possible to finish the season on top.

Happy New Year to all readers - Seven points clear!!!!

Blog 3 - Me and Ma bro! - Danny

Big John: the love of the gers!

Since the age of 6, that's way back in '86 (see, am no that old), iv followed rangers. I remember the souness revolution and grew up watching legends the likes of coisty, cooper, durrant, mccall, the goalie, gazza, laudrup and filip sebo! I lived rangers and never gave ma mum peace for the new strips! But not all the family were chuffed wae my choice of teams!

Motherwell 'support your local team'

When I was big enough (a few stone lighter than iam now), my dad took me to my first game, Motherwell v st mirren! I wisnae happy, I said 'dad, I only came to see the rangers'. My dad persisted but eventualy gave up and and took me into the old main stand at ibrox to watch, you guessed it, rangers v Motherwell! He didnae give up! It was like that for a few years and even when ma wee brother came to games it was off to the old teraces at fir park! I know where my dad got it from! My grandpa was forever sayin, 'it's no right son, your no fae govan, you should b supporting your local team' but what my grampa doesn't get, is that rangers are in my blood! It was different on my mums side tho, My grandpa mckinstry was a true blue and loved watching the gers wae us! I never seen him so happy when bomber brown scored in the n'er day game!

For the future!

Even tho I live in carfin (don't hold it against me!) and there's more bumblebee tops than actual bees in my street, my son john is following in our family tredition, and not listening to his great grandpa Russell! He and all other young rangers fans are the future of our great club, and the pleasure it brings me to bring him on the bus wae my brother and you's guys and experiance being part of the rangers and holytown loyal family. Over the years goin to the football wae my brother, there's been the highs of winning titles and going to Manchester,(did you get a ticket martin?) to the lows of the le guen era and loosing to urinea, but whatever the future brings at rangers there's one thing for sure, I'm rangers till I die!

Daniel Russell- Brotherly Rivalry:

Anyone that grew up with their brother surely knows what it's like to fight with one another. We fought about everything, who was having what, who was playing the computer even as sad as who was getting in the toilet first!...it was very annoying being the little brother though, because most of the things we fought over... John won them all. The most annoying thing of all though being the wee one that had to stay at home while John went to the Rangers games. Meanwhile I had to be content staying at home and playing johns Amiga, listening to the gers on the radio. (yes john-i was playing your Amiga while you were out!)

The 12th man:

It wasn't all that bad as whe I got a little older and John started to drive he would take me to the odd Rangers game. It was great, I always remember the excitement when there was a chance of going to Ibrox. Ibrox always seemed massive when you were younger and the atmosphere for a boy that age was something else. Infact the greatest atmosphere I've ever heard at ibrox was a game my brother took me to. It was a Champions league game against Parma, he came home from work one day and we darted in To ibrox without a ticket just on the chance someone might be selling two, it was a bit iffy because no-one in their right mind would Sell these tickets, it was a huge game, a complete sell out. (well i say darted in, we would've been quicker walking, we took the m8 and it was a nightmare..it didn't help that the car was an overheating piece of crap my dad used for work neither)We got to govan just round the corner from the stadium bar and sure enough through the large crowd was some guy standing at his house with 2 tickets. John applied the brakes, lets just say rather abruptly and jumped out the car and bought these tickets. Both suffering from whiplash, we got into the stadium and I've never heard anything like it, it made the hairs stand up at the back of my neck, everyone sang their heart out for the full 90mins and belted out every song they know..we won that day and I swear it must have been the atmosphere that done it, we definitely were the 12th man.

Wee spot in holytown:

I had always dreamed of a season ticket and it wasn't until I got a full time job that I managed to get one with John, by then John had settled down with wife and kids, so because we didn't see each other a lot it definitely got on better. The next step as season ticket holders was to arrange how we were going to get into ibrox every week. We thought the bus was a good way to get in because then could get a wee drink and avoid trying to park in at ibrox. I tried several times to join another bus but nothing ever came of it. With our first game coming up we were struggling and then my partner had said she got the bus at holytown a few times and I could probably go on that. So we went to the Masonic arms and became members with holytown loyal supporters club and from the moment we entered we were always made welcome by everyone. This is now the third season we have been on the bus and unless we lose our tickets, then we wouldn't go anywhere else. I had spoke about the atmosphere in the last paragraph and we all know it's not the same as the good old days as rightly or wrongly they have banned most of our songs now and its took away all atmosphere from the games at ibrox, but the thing that makes up for it is when the holytown loyal bus is in full voice!

Blog 2 - My Way - Neto

1. BORN AND BRED HI fellow bluenoses welcome 2 my blog 2 u bluenoses who dont know neto born in chapelhall that wee place just over the flyover. The best thing about it was leaving, 2 many tims peter grant and co. Was adopted by holytown mods about 1980 Archie Hall, Wully Gunn, Ricky Hill, as time went on things went down hill i ended up meeting guys like beefy n smith, the rest is history people.

2. ART OF SELF DEFENCE During my visits 2 holytown i seemed 2 be a easy target for the hard men of holytown i had 2 walk chapelhall once or twice after they stole my bus fair so i decided 2 join tae kwon do, 4years later i held a black belt and various titles including Felix O'Neils lightweight title that i am very proud of. oh aye and smithys fys superheavyweight title. The worst thing that happened was when big SCOTT MENZIES went 2 canada if ur reading this scott i haven,t had a decent fight since u left.

3.THE CHAIRMAN One of my proudest achievments since crossing the border was my role as holytown colts coach and chairman. 2 be involved in such a great football club and 2 c all the kids develop is a fantastic thing. I stepped down as chairman in 2008 but i left the club in good hands JASON McCREADIE AND COMMITEE.

4. THE REF Of all the hobbies 2 take up i went for the man in black. My eyes were opened from standing at the sidelines shouting abuse now iam the guy taking abuse. Believe me guys its a lot harder in the middle than u think asked big GILK. Refs only get one chance at a incident we dont have the luxury of tv.

5.THE GERS I cant think of a better way of ending my blog than RANGERS i have been watching the gers since i was a boy of 8 how things change from 9 years with no title then9 in a row. too players like McCOIST, GOUGH, LAUDRUP, MOLS, compare these players to current players and easy to c quality is not there anymore we have to be relistic now we used shop at m+s now we shop at farmfoods. under the current climate the club is under i think walter smith has done very well yes his tactics r hard 2 watch sometimes . But as with any team u have 2 play 2 ur strengths. the main thing is we all must support the club no matter what. All the best for now lads enjoy the rest of the season.

Blog 1..THANKS WALTER, SIR DAVID MURRAY AND BARRY FERGUSON

LAST SEASON the league flag returned home along with the Scottish cup. It wasn't the best season or football we have ever seen but let's be honest...WHAT A RELIEF. It just makes the whole summer that wee bit easier on us and allows us to have a wee snigger at the SELIK fans wearing those stupid ugly bumble bee tops...seriously what's that all about.

WALTER SMITH has now been back for a few seasons now and I for one am extremely happy with the work he has done. Now I know everyones not his biggest fan this time round but at this particular stage of the clubs history, where basically we are skint, could anyone else do a better job? Champions again and to be honest we should have been champions from the previous season as well. The football hasn't been great but people often forget what he had to do. We were absolute miles behind SELIK before he returned and the manager did tell everyone his first priority would be to shore up the back and make us harder to beat...no one disagreed that's what was need at the time and he duly delivered.

I for one am fed up with the SELIK fans and their media friends talking about playing football the Selik way and how we play anti-football. Don't be fooled this is a pure and utter myth. Selik haven't played good football since the late Tommy Burns was manager.. That includes their last two managers.

SIR DAVID MURRAY has stepped down as chairman and I would like to thank him for a job well done and wish him luck in his future. He had a dream, we all bought into the dream and we were so close..good memories we have...9 IN A ROW.

BARRY FERGUSON has moved on and again I wish him all the best and thank him for the many times he played through the pain barrier for us and dragged us single handed to league and cup titles. I'm positive he will do well again down south but also agree it was definitely the right time for the club to let him go. Hopefully this will allow others to step up to the mark.

So there you have it my thoughts...praising Walter, Sir David and Barry Ferguson...If only everyone felt the same.

Cheers for now and let's hope we have a great season..The next blog will be after the SELIK game and will be written by big Neto so please allow for his spelling mistakes.
